THOUGHT OF THE WEEK - Our Father’s Strength

Flower Job replied to the Lord: “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” ...Job 42:1-2
Since the Garden of Eden, we’ve yearned to be smarter than God. In his desperation Job came to that point. Job did not want to be greater than God. Job wanted God to be his ultimate resource with the assurance that he was a child of God.
How reassuring it is to discover that our salvation does not lie in our own cleverness and strength! God’s power is a loving power in which we, like Job, become free to experience a peace and comfort that only God can give.
When we acknowledge God’s power, we can experience peace.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK - An Unlikely Offering

CraterI pour out before Him my complaint; before Him I tell my trouble.” ...Psalm 142:2 (NIV)
God wants to hear the good and bad of our lives. Your willingness to trust God enough to express even the unpleasant things in your life is an offering of trust and is valued. Remember  that in trusting God with the difficult things in our lives we find peace, hope, and healing.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK

 El Capitan
I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” ...Psalm 139:14 (NIV)
How often do you attempt to be, or wish to be, something or someone you are not?
Realizing that God has created each of us as unique individuals, we can confidently live as the people God created us to be. This means we can celebrate our personal uniqueness and search for special ways that we may effectively share that uniqueness with family, community, and church. Such celebrating and sharing can be a tangible way for us to praise and thank God for creating us the way we are.
Our uniqueness is a living living example of God’s boundless grace.

How to make Bias Tape: single-fold and double-fold

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK - Designer Original

Desert “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”....Psalm 139:14
God has put us together in a way that cannot and should not be replicated.  He chose every aspect of our personalities, crafted every gift and talent He bestowed on us, and gave special thought to each one of our features and traits.  We were handmade by Him in our mother’s womb. He custom-designed us to fit a specific role in His sovereign plan for the ages.
You are a designer original. God made you to be one of a kind. Your fingerprint is different from that of anybody else-living or dead. Have you ever celebrated yourself? Have you ever praised God for the way He made you? If not, today is a good day to begin. This is God’s gift to you. He gave you today.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK - Aware of God’s Timing

ButterflyAsk and it will be given to you; seek and you will find.” ....Matthew 7:7

God’s timing is perfect. Remember that when we ask God for direction for our lives, we need to look and listen for the answers that God gives.  Otherwise, we may miss the very moment we prayed for.
